The Pelman System for the Training of Mind, Memory and Personality, or "Pelmanism," as it was called by more than its 650,000 enthusiastic students around the world, was such a self help ‘system’ based on scientific research into the potential development of one’s overall mental abilities, creativity and attitude.
This course consisted of easy to understand reading material and unique ‘brain exercises’ a student was strongly encouraged to do. These exercises were presented to progressively challenge a student while at the same time stimulate and make one aware of their individual strengths and weaknesses that could be corrected as required.
It was the direct effort of completing the various exercises which had made this unique self help course so different (and globally successful) with the range of results its students from all walks of life had experienced for themselves. At the start a student is told in order to see real self improvement and changes in themselves requires consistent effort over time that only they can do, and no one else can.
Pelmanism did not make any outlandish promises to its students, just
- helped them to learn how to think for themselves, while at the same time
- helped to make them aware of their natural mental abilities, powers and capabilities.
Students were told:
