What Was His Inspiration?

 

Decades later they met. As boys they had grown up together, rode the same bus, went to the same schools.

One was always the captain—a "go-getter" whether it was school related or play-time. He was their school president, friend, leader to all in their class. Someone you could talk to, count on.

The other was always average—both in his studies and extracurricular activities, never wanting to push himself. He enjoyed being part of the crowd, to be seen, never wanting to create attention.

They graduated together—and went their separate ways that summer.

A Reunion?

Decades later—they met by chance inside a busy airport, between connecting flights. Their few moments was very emotional—with many unanswered questions racing through their minds, many searching glances thrown back and forth.

They hurriedly exchanged contact information—promising to stay in touch. Each silently speculating what the other had been up to as they parted. A last glimpse showed one striding confidently, square shoulders—the other moved timidly, with a prominent slouched posture and quickened pace.

One had become a leader in his industry, the reflection of a powerfully built man, happy, a growing family—a success.

On the corner of his private office desk were three small framed colored pictures—in a debate competition, track and field, and graduation ceremony—during his school days, receiving first place in each one—a WINNER. This has been his inspiration for years.

His Secret Revealed

He realized, upon graduation, his brain is just like any one of his growing muscles. Unless you keep it "toned"—unless you give it proper stimulating exercises—it soon becomes dull, feeble, flabby and "all thumbs." He never stopped improving, both physically and mentally.

If YOU are now unhappy about how little income you are working for, or if YOU have gotten yourself into a ‘dead-end’ situation in your life that seems hopeless (for now!)—it’s a possible clue that you may have let your mind "go soft."

  • Time to start taking care of your health, your body, should you been neglecting it these past years. Without your health, you have nothing. A fact.
  • Time to become that WINNER going forward; from success to success—until you have attained your goals in life.
  • Time to get rid of that "slack" and go forward with your life!
  • Time to do this NOW!
